Help Wanted

Our household is still getting over the colds that was soo nicely passed from one individual to the other. We all still have runny noses, but luckily no fevers for Brett and I and the 2 of us have managed to avoid the Doctor. Brooklyn still has snotty nose, but it doesn't act like it phases her. She is playing like nothing is wrong. Over the past week Brooklyn has went from walking with ease and caution...two arms up to keep her balance to just running. Alright, I am sure it's not really running but it sure feels that way. She's just on the go, quicker then lightning. I went to go pick her up for her dinner the other day and she saw me coming and the girl took off like she doesn't only have 10 inch legs. I got a kick out of it, but I am sure that will get old very quickly! Why do they have to grow up soooo stinking fast?!

Our newest dilemma is that we will be losing Lily our sitter in the fall due to her school schedule and one option we had actually seems like it might fall through so I wanted to put the word out there and see if anyone knows anyone that would be interested in sitting for Brooklyn this fall? It's only one day during the work week at our home and we are very flexible on the day. I like to think it's fairly easy money since Brooklyn's pretty low maintenance and there is only one baby they are sitting for, but I might be biased. The only stipulation is that it is at my home in Queen-Tucky and sending her to day care is just not an option for us. Let me know if you know anyone looking for easy work!

We have the Jamey Rhonda, Marcus and Michael coming into town on weds for a week and I am sure we will be busy hanging out with them when they are here so I wanted to drop a quick blog posting so it doesn't look like we fell off the face of the earth again!

Beach Side

The water was like bath water no matter if it was in the middle of the day under the Florida sun or in the middle of the night under the stars! We enjoyed collecting all sorts of shells, and Brooklyn even started her own collections.

Hanging out at the Condo

We stayed at this amazing beautiful condo, literally steps from the beach while we were in Clearwater. If we didn't go anywhere and had to hang out at the condo for the full week that we were there I still would have been one happy camper.

The condo was right by an awesome restaurant called Clear Sky that we went to almost twice a day and I had french toast every morning. Then at night I would seal the deal with Ferraro Rocher Gelato from the shop next door. YUMMY!

Tampa Bay Zoo

Here are the pictures from Brooklyn's 1st trip to the Zoo! Despite the sweltering heat we did manage to have fun and enjoy checking out all the different animals.

More pics from Clearwater.....

I still haven't downloaded our pics from our camara. In fact I still haven't unpacked yet. First day off since we've been back and my first priorty was to get to the grocery and pick up food for dinner tonight and to clean house! I'll get moving on the pics during afternoon nap time.

Who has the best Daddy ever?!

Fathers day was spent yesterday like any other normal sunday (on weekends that Mommy has to work!)...and that my friends is why Brooklyn has the best Daddy ever and I have the best Hubbie ever! I brought home breakfast on my way home from work complete with a dozen from krispy kreme for the Dad of our house. We enjoyed our family meal and then I hit the sack and checked out the insides of my eyelids for a few hours. Daddy continued his wonderful day of yardwork, picking up the house, serving lunch, and running to the grocery store. What a great day for him huh?! Now before you all get critical on my wife-ing skills let it be known that Daddy did manage to get plenty of XBox time in playing Tiger Woods. That's become a past time and rarity at our household lately, so yesterday I didn't complain once when the Xbox went on (partly because I was sleeping :)!) My only request was for him to run to the grocery store and pick up some food since our household had been seriously lacking fresh food since our week long hiatus. I felt bad to have to request that of him on his special day, but he didn't object. He ran his errand with Brooklyn in tow, came home and had more Daddy fun playing with the munchkin and her furry brother Deuce. See why I have a wonderful hubbie and why Brooklyn's the luckiest daughter in the world? He doesn't ask for much and expect much on his special days and thats why I want to give him the world. He deserves more then McDonalds Deluxe breakfast, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, a video game, and a tired cranky night working wife!! Darn weekend shifts and hospitals that can't figure out how to close for the holidays and weekends! I am afraid our trip to Clearwater over shined the fact that Daddy's day was 2 days after our return. I owe my hubbie a better daddy's day then that and it'll come soon....when we both have days off again! Til then, Thanks Brett for being the most wonderful man, hubbie and daddy ever! Your setting the bar high for Brooklyn's future hubbie, yikes! did I just type "Brooklyn's hubbie"!?!

Back from Bliss

We returned from our wonderful vacation Friday night and the only hitch we came upon was the fever Brooklyn spiked when we got back into town that night. Brooklyn's such a wonderful and thoughtful girl she waited until we landed back in Phoenix to get sick, so to not ruin any part of the vacation for her or her Mommy and Daddy! We literally only noticed her burning up when I picked her up to depart the plane in Phoenix. I just thought it was being in warm clothing and in the plane that did it, but she was still burning up the next day despite tylenol. We brought her over to Urgent care and they diagnosed her with an ear infection and she is now on Day 2 of antibiotics. She showed now signs of illness other then her temperature and by being overly cuddly and snuggly which Mommy and Daddy were welcoming of that! Thankfully this if Brooklyn's first real bout with illness and antibiotics. Lack of daycare and one year of nursing her does pay off!

So since we've been back we still hadn't unpacked and I've been back at work. Needless to say the pictures from our trip are still not uploaded from our camera so I had to snag some from Gramps and Auntie Rey Rey just to share.

Here's our first family photo at Disneyworld. I am sure there will be many more like this in the future. Can't wait to go back!
