Falling Leaves

One of the many things that I miss about Chicago (besides the obvious family members) is this....

Sweltering 100 plus degrees...You can go away now...

Pearly Whites...where are you?

8.5 months and still no teeth....

She can still rock the gummy smile though! Gotta love it.
And she tries hard to keep up with her Big Sister and doesn't seem to have too much of a problem doing soo...

Bretts Birthday

A late happy Belated Birthday to wonderful Husband! We enjoyed a weekend get-away while Memaw and Lola Emma came to town to take care of the girls. It was a great vacation and well needed break from our crazy busy life. I think my our livers are needing to detox now, but that just proof that we had a great time away. I haven't gotten the chance to download any pictures yet. Our vacation was quickly interrupted by a flight home and return back to work the next day. I wish I can say that I was able to spoil my husband for his big day, but he managed to spoil me for the big weekend. Happy 33 Brett!!!! Cheers to a GREAT year for you!!!

You'd think Alexis' lack of teeth (yeap- She's now 8 months old and still toothless) would keep her from enjoying her meals.

Not one bit!!! She loves anything we give her at this point and she gives us plenty to laugh about during meals.

Brooklyn likes to take a more laid back attitude when it comes to meals...

Who do you CHEER for?

There is no question in our house whom the girls are cheering for on Sundays.....

This is what happens on Sundays when I get to the girls before Brett and dress them for the day! GO BEARS GO!

You know its too hot out when....

Your Dog (who is part Coyote) doesn't even want to be outdoors...

How does my baby girl go from mastering the crawl last week ..... pulling her self up to stand

and cruising while holding onto things the next week?!

Which one of these is not like the other??

Ella Riecke playing with the girls Saturday evening.

Friday morning we had a playdate at our house (forgot to take pictures...too busy entertained by the kiddos and chatting with Becky and Anjee) and then on Saturday Bill and Brett had another playdate with all the kiddos while Anjee and I worked. This one involved watching some college football though and if you ask them I doubt they would ever use the words "play date" to describe their get together. I continue to celebrate my holiday weekend by going back to work tonight and then again tomorrow. Boring. Oh well....I hope the rest of you enjoy labor free! (I guess this is the price I pay for having only work 3 days a week and having the other 4 off to enjoy playdates!)

Moving Day

Red moved into Brooklyn's Room the other night.

Brett and I were apprehensive about Brooklyn sharing her room with Red. Worried about Red making it through the night without a curious 2 year disturbing his humble abode. I reminded Brooklyn time and time again to leave Red alone. Thankfully she listened and did exactly that. She even reminded me the next morning that I was to not touch him.

Brooklyn is very proud of her new roommate, She was trying to make him as comfy as possible so we thought it would be a good idea to put Ariel the Little Mermaid next to his tank, to remind him of his "other" home. (Disregard Alexis in the picture...she way more into the Dora House)

I am beyond THRILLED that we haven't needed to let him circle any drains.
