Outdoor Living

At  bargain prices!!!

We scored some great deals recently.  Funny how outdoor patio furniture and accessories get clearanced out in the beginning of June, but lets face it no one wants to be spending too much time outdoors right now. Unless it's poolside of course.

Our Munchkins made their first appearance on the big stage last weekend.
Words seriously can not express how proud we were as parents.  Ya ya ya, blah blah I know they are only 2.5 and 4 years old, how good could it really have been?!  Both my girls are pretty shy so getting them on the stage was worrisome for me. Truthfully I would have been pleased if they just got on the stage and stood there looking cute.  They more then exceeded our expectations.  Not only did they get on stage,  they danced (the WHOLE routine, albeit while watching their dance teacher), smiled, and had fun doing so!

This picture cracks me up.....can your see the apprehension on her face?!

Just to give you an idea of Sheasus' accomplishment...here she is standing with part of the studio on stage.  By far the smallest and youngest in the dance company.  She was incredibly cute doing her routine.  Wasn't even phased by the girl next to her standing there trying to talk to her during their number.  I'm not gonna lie...was a bit floored that she actually kept up with the older girls!

All the above pictures were from rehearsal day, cameras weren't allowed at the actual recital.  But truthfully I probably would have forgotten to take pictures while they were on stage....I was too busy shedding a proud parent tear and grinning ear to ear.

I can't speak the same for Brett regarding the tears since he actually watched them from the audience and I watched from backstage...but there is no doubt he wasn't a proud pop!

So there marks the end of the dance ERA for now.....Even with the success they had and fun it was we've decided to spend our time at gymnastics....The girls made some from friends that I am sure they'll still ask about all the time....

So as one door closes, another opens.  Weds we started gymnastics....from the 1 class that they have had so far it's pretty apparent that both are definitely in their element.

My Ballerinas....in a week they will have their first Dance Recital and moving on from Dance to Gymnastics.  Both my girls love going to Dance class so we're partly sad to be ending this era, but there is something about my little Monkies that just tells us that they'll love and thrive well in Gymnastics.

Miss Brooklyn.
My very sweet patient and kind little girl.  She  is just so good.  Good little helper, great big sister showing Sheasus the ropes, and just full of love.  The conversations she has with us and even her little sister just floors me these days! Still quite obsessed with puppies.  That's a future post, but still haven't been able to track all 100 plus puppies down.

Miss Sheasus.
Still my itty bitty, but just full of spunk.  She's quite indepedent and at that stage where she wants to do whatever.....on her own.  She'll make quite the stink when we help her with something and in fact if help is given when not asked, she'll make sure to start the whole process over until it is done her way.  She's pottty trained except during naps and bedtime.  She insists on sleeping with her sister.  We're attempting to ween her off her naps since bedtime at night is becoming a struggle.  She insists that she is 3 years old, but still the size of a 1 year old but truly 2.5 years old.  I finally went through her closet and filtered out the 6 to 9 month clothing.  Onesies just don't work when you are potty trained!

How can you just not love these two to pieces?!

weekend visitor

pepaw pike came to town last weekend.  we had lots to celebrate.  Deucer's 7th birthday as well as Pepaw's 29th birthday. (that's how old he convinced Brooklyn he was turning)

We spent the weekend with lots of swimming, shopping, movies, and dining out....I forgot to take more pictures.  Our 2 lil munchkins kept us busy!  It was a great time visiting with Pepaw.  The girls are already asking when is he coming back to visit.
